Dance legend Judith Jamison is being honored by the White House during a special dance tribute. The celebration of the choreographer and artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre will be the Obama administration's first celebration of dance and will include performances of ballet, modern, contemporary, hip-hop and Broadway. The event will include an afternoon workshop led by invited dancers from the Alvin Ailey Theatre, Paul Taylor Dance Co., Broadway's Billy Elliot the Musical, the Washington Ballet, the Super Cr3w and the New York City Ballet. A dance tribute for a dance legend. How fitting.
