With Christmas now over, a new holiday celebration begins.
Sunday marked the African American celebration of Kwanzaa. Folks gathered for a ceremony in Little Rock kicking off the seven day holiday. Each day they address different principals like unity, self-determination and faith.
Monday, there is ceremony at the Little Rock Central High National Historic Site. Tuesday's ceremony is at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. Java Roasting Express is hosting the ceremony Wednesday. Thursday, the ceremony is at the Pyramid Art, Books & Custom Framing. The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center is hosting it again on Friday. And Saturday, the Mediums Art Lounge is hosting the last ceremony.
