Authorities in Dallas have reportedly informed Erykah Badu that she will not be charged with indecent exposure for strolling nude near the site of John F. Kennedy’s assassination in her video for “Window Seat.”

According to the Daily Mail, Dallas police explained that she will not face charges because no one has made any official complaints and no officers had actually witnessed her strip.

However, directors Chike and Coodie admitted that they had expected Badu to be taken into custody while they were filming.

“I just remember hearing a siren, or every minute looking up and seeing some kind of sheriff’s car or something,” Chike told MTV. “So I was like, ‘This is going to be interesting’. Her contingency plan was get arrested. She was big on doing it. We had bail money and everything. I think she really wanted to get arrested, even make a bigger message.”

Coodie did say that some onlookers had threatened to call the police, adding: “It was nothing but two or three people, it was nothing that crazy at all. There was that one lady though, that was really crazy. She was like, ‘That was so offensive’.”

Badu released her latest album “New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh” on Tuesday.
