Just in time for Christmas, Xenos record label is proud to release the latest single from psychedelic music icon, Damon The Gypsy. “Gypsy Finds A Home,” completes the final entry to Damon's Gypsy Trilogy. His hypnotic, mystical, modal music has been described as “a cure for the 21st Century Blues.”
Damon, an American Gypsy Rock Artist, is a California native. He describes gypsy rock as a blend of various world sounds from the Far East, Latin America, and Rock n Roll. He writes from the heart and draws inspiration from the simple things in life and love. His music has spanned four decades.
'Dance Little Gypsy' encourages the listener to "Put on your dancin’ shoes..dance away all your blues...dance like never before..Go on and dance." It promotes the idea that "everyone has their own song." This new release has been receiving positive feedback from Damon's fans, young and old.
He is most known for writing the 1969 cult classic album “Song of A Gypsy”. This record completely reflects his values of peace and love and the mood during the Haight-Ashbury days.
According to “The Goldmine Price Guide to Rare and Collectible Record Albums”, “Song of A Gypsy” is one of the rarest and most sought-after psychedelic vinyl albums in the world. It has been documented to have been listed for $3,000 per vinyl copy.
He has also been featured in, “Fuzz, Acid and Flowers.” Most recently his music was featured on HSN.
Damon The Gypsy's latest album, “Gypsy Finds A Home”, has been mastered using the new HD Separation Mastering technology pioneered by veteran mastering engineer, John Vestman. The enhanced music tracks are pure musical ecstasy for the audiophile.
Damon’s latest release features musicians Greg “Saxboy” Vail on Saxophone and Ewi, Damon on Gypsy Guitar, Charlie Carey and David A. Lopez on Guitar, Suzanne Cruz on Drums and Percussion, Michael Nieland on Drums, Darrel Cook on Bass Guitar, Helena Vlahos on finger cymbals.
Damon sings the lead vocals. Bobby Cruz and Charlie Carey sing background vocals. The CD was recorded and mixed by David A. Lopez and Damon.
